How This Started

My name is Marcus Lindberg.

I spent years as an online player trying to make sense of a space where almost every review site gave every casino a 9.8/10, repeated marketing copy as if it were analysis, and skipped over the details that actually mattered. Things like wagering requirements hidden in the small print, withdrawal limits nobody mentioned, and bonuses that sounded great until you actually read the terms.

If you have spent time in Reddit threads, player forums, or Discord communities, you probably already know the gap between what review sites say and what players actually experience. I learned more from player discussions than I did from most affiliate sites.

I started keeping notes for myself after sessions. Mostly simple things I wanted to remember later. Which casinos paid quickly. Which bonuses actually felt worth claiming. Which slot releases I enjoyed enough to come back to and which ones I never loaded again.

Other players started asking me for recommendations. At some point I realised I was already spending more time researching casinos and games than many of the sites I was reading. That was when I decided to build somewhere to put it all.

That was in 2022 and the approach has not really changed.

I still review everything as a player first. If something does not feel genuinely useful from a player’s point of view, it does not go on this site.

This flows more like a person introducing themselves rather than someone setting up a founder narrative. The reader gets into the story immediately.

What SlotsFunky Covers

SlotsFunky covers online slots and licensed casino operators. Every casino reviewed here holds a valid licence from a recognised regulator. No unlicensed sites and no grey market workarounds.

Every slot review is based on actual gameplay, not press releases, developer briefings, or partnership deals.

Ratings here are built around things players actually care about:

How quickly a casino pays out

Whether a bonus is really worth the wagering requirements

How a slot feels to play beyond the RTP number

Support quality when something goes wrong

Whether I would genuinely return and play there again

Scores are not inflated to keep operators happy. If a casino slows withdrawals, hides important terms, or runs lower RTP settings, it scores poorly regardless of how much marketing it does.

One Reviewer. No Outsourcing.

SlotsFunky is written, reviewed, and run entirely by me.

There is no team of anonymous writers and no outsourced content. Every review on this site comes from someone who loaded the game, read the terms, tested support, and spent time looking beyond the marketing.

That means I publish more slowly than larger sites. I think that is worth it.

You should be able to make better decisions about where you play because the person reviewing it is playing in the same world you are. That is the whole point.

Thanks for visiting.

Affiliate Disclosure

SlotsFunky earns revenue through affiliate relationships with licensed casino operators. When you click a casino link and register, I may receive a commission. I’m transparent about this because I think you deserve to know.

What I won’t do is let it change what I write. A casino I have a commercial relationship with gets scored the same way as one I don’t. If it has slow withdrawals, I’ll say so. If the bonus terms are poor, I’ll say so. The commercial side of this site exists to fund the editorial side — not the other way around.
